Enter the Dungeon

Where the walls have stories and the shadows have company.

Beyond Traitor’s Gate, where the walls grow colder and the light begins to flicker, lies the most infamous corner of The Castle Inn — the Dungeon End.

Step through the heavy doors beneath the watchful gaze of those who didn’t make it out, and you’ll find yourself surrounded by ancient stone, iron bars, and the echoes of a past best left undisturbed. Witches burn, skeletons keep their silent vigil, and the air carries just enough mystery to remind you that not everyone who entered the dungeon was meant to leave.

Despite its dark history, the Dungeon End is very much alive today.

This atmospheric space is home to our competition-standard, halo-lit dart boards, making it the perfect spot for serious matches, friendly rivalries, and the occasional heroic comeback. Whether you're a seasoned player or just fancy a throw between pints, the dungeon provides a setting you won’t find anywhere else on the Island.

When the torches burn a little brighter and the tables are cleared, the Dungeon End transforms once again.

For parties, live music, and special events, this is where the dance floor appears, and the dungeon takes on a very different kind of energy. What was once a place of chains and shadows becomes the heart of the celebration — though the skeletons still keep watch, just in case.

From darts nights to full-blown functions, the Dungeon End is one of the Castle Inn’s most unique spaces — a place where history, humour, and a good night out all meet behind the same stone walls.
